Albizia Saman (country wood), Teak wood, Mango tree wood, Padauk wood (red in colour), Walnut, Temple plant, Fig tree, Indian kino tree, Mahua tree, Indian mulberry.
Wood Carvings
Wood carving is done entirely by hand. Design are first made on paper and transferred onto the wood using ink. These are then carved using a variety of chisels and mallet and finally statues are finished by buffing in order to bring out the shine of the wood.
